On the 10^th of October 2011 at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports a meeting called "Eureka B2B for R&D Cooperation” took place between Czech organizations and a delegation representing the South Korean business sector. The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic was co-organizer of the event. The meeting was held under the auspices of the EUREKA programme, its main objective was to promote cooperation in research and development between the two countries.
 
Representatives from 12 Korean companies, business incubators and universities from the ICT, Mechatronics and Clean Tech sectors presented their business to almost twenty Czech organizations.  They then had the chance to establish the first steps towards a common project or collaboration during the B2B meetings that followed the presentations.
As a result of the meeting four Czech-Korean projects with serious promise for mutual cooperation were identified. Mr. Miroslav Janecek, Deputy Chairman of the Technology Agency CR, who moderated the event, also met with representatives of the South Korean Institute for Technology Development - KIAT with whom negotiations on mutual cooperation have already started.
