Technology Agency of the Czech Republic prepares and implements programmes of applied research, experimental development and innovation. 

The first programme created and realized by the TA CR is called ALFA. It is a programme supporting projects of applied research and experimental development. In February 2011 the programme called BETA was launched, it is a programme of public procurement in research, experimental development and innovation for the needs of public administration bodies. In June and July 2011 two other new programmes were launched – the Competence Centres programme supporting long-term collaboration between the public and private sectors on research, development and innovation and the programme OMEGA supporting applied social science research and experimental development and. Also second call of public competition of the ALFA programme was announced during July 2011.  

Each programme gives great emphasis on the application of project results although they differ in the volume of financial resources, objectives and selection process.
