New programme of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic „Competence Centres" was approved by the Government in January 2011. The programme is focused on supporting the creation and operation of research, development and innovation centres for progressive fields with strong application potential and a perspective for significant contributions to the growth of the competitiveness of the Czech Republic. At the same time, these centres will create conditions for the development of long-term collaboration between the public and private sectors on research, development and innovations.

It is expected that approx. 35 centres containing at least 3 enterprises and one public research organization will be supported in this programme of which approx. 15 centres in the first call. The programme is approved for the period from 2012 to 2019, which corresponds to the aim of the programme to promote long-term cooperation. This entails a considerable budget amounting to 6 billion CZK for the whole period and 366 millions of CZK for the first call. Three calls for project proposals will be launched in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

Evaluation of project proposals — foreign experts

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic is looking for independent foreign experts to perform evaluations in the first stage of a public tender for the Competence Centres programme.

Candidates from the Czech Republic should register ONLY through the Czech registration form (and vice versa).
