The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) concluded partnership in the form of a Letter of Intent with an important U.S. agency - National Science Foundation (NSF) which shall facilitate the Czech Republic to join the PIRE program (Partnerships for International Research and Education) by virtue of which NSF finances international cooperation in research and development. The TA CR thus joined an exclusive club of foreign partners cooperating with NSF through this program which includes Finnish TEKES, Japanese JST, Chinese MOST, or German DFG. Except for the TA CR, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport also established cooperation with NSF.

The TAFTIE Board Meeting 21 January 2016 approved the TA CR Chairmanship of TAFTIE in 2017. Technology Agency of the Czech Republic thus became official troika member (together with VDI/VDE/IT from Germany (TAFTIE 2015 Chair) and BpiFrance (TAFTIE 2016 Chair).
On Monday, 11th January 2016, representatives of the Technology Agency of the CR headed by the Chairwoman Rut Bízková participated in a series of discussions with delegates from OECD's Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) and Economic Department. Discussions were concluded by a joint lunch with the participation of OECD's Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Stefan Kapferer and the Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the OECD, Ambassador Mr. Pavel Rozsypal.
