The project summary:

CHIST-ERA is a network of research funding organisations in Europe and beyond with programmes in ICT (Information and Communication Science and Technology), at the intersection of the FET and the ICT domains.

CHIST-ERA IV ERA- NET aims at supporting transnational research projects addressing long-term scientific challenges in the domain of ICT or at the interface between ICT and other domains. It also fosters the maturation of the corresponding research topics and the structuration of the corresponding communities. Another goal is to encourage Open Science best practices, raise awareness about responsible Research and Innovation and support the exploitation of the research projects funded by CHIST-ERA by the industry. In the framework of CHIST-ERA IV, three joint transnational calls are planned (the Calls 2019, 2020 and 2021), each covering two topics. The two topics for the Call 2019 are “Explainable Machine Learning-based Artificial Intelligence” and “Novel Computational Approaches for Environmental Sustainability”.
