Clean Energy Transition (CET) Partnership Joint Call 2022 is open

The CETPartnership launches its first transnational Joint Call (JC2022) on solutions and technologies to enable and accelerate the Clean Energy Transition. Deadline for pre-proposals submission is  23 November 2022, 14:00 CET.

The CETPartnership Joint Call 2022 is structured around the joint call text and 11 Call modules, provided by the TRIs. The joint call text contains general information about the call, applying to all applicants. The Call modules describe specific topics and/or challenges that applicants shall address in their project proposal. Applicants must choose and apply to a specific call module when submitting their project proposal. Evaluation and ranking of the project proposals will be performed separately per Call module.

However, Czech applicants will be able to participate only in the following Call Modules:

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR) is involved in this Joint Call together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (manager for TRI 1, 3 and 5) and the Ministry of the Environment (manager for TRI 7). The rules of the call for Czech applicants are based on the EPSILON programme. This call is financed from the National Recovery Plan within component 5.2 entitled “Support for research and development in companies and introduction of innovations into business practice” and its investment “Aid for research and development in synergy effects with the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation”. The total financial amount of TA CR support for the call for Czech applicants in international projects is EUR 2,450,000. The maximum financial amount of support per project is EUR 175,000 for Call Module 7.1, and EUR 175,000 for Call Module 7.2. Other Call Modules are unrestricted in this respect. The maximum intensity of support for the Czech side of the project is 85% of the total eligible costs of the project.

Participating countries:

The CETPartnership Joint Call 2022 is participated by 43 national/regional Funding Agencies from 27 EU Member States and Associated Countries to Horizon Europe: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom;  and 3 international partners from: Canada (Alberta), Switzerland and the United States of America, for a total budget of over 140 M€ .

Each project proposal must include at least three independent legal entities from at least three different countries participating in the CETPartnership Joint Call 2022, out of which at least two must be EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. Consortia may consist of partners from organisations such as universities, companies, industry organisations, local/regional governments, research organisations and NGOs. Some Call modules specify additional requirements or restrictions regarding the types of partners to be included.
