Driving Urban Transitions Call 2023 Pre-announcement

The DUT Partnership Call 2023 is the second call under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership and is co-funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Partnership scheme. 

The purpose of this Call is to support transnational research and/or innovation projects addressing urban challenges to help cities in their transition towards a more sustainable economy and functioning. The challenges are grouped into three themes called Transition Pathways: Positive Energy Districts (PED), the 15-Minute City (15mC) and Circular Urban Economies (CUE). Czech applicants will be able to participate only in the PED and 15mC Transition Pathways.

Each Transition Pathway is divided into three call topics, Czech applicants will be able to participate in following topics: 

Positive Energy Districts (PED)

  • Energy Resilience and Energy Poverty
  • Enabling Systems for Local Energy Transitions: Collaboration and Sustainable Investment

15-Minute City (15mC)

  • Mobility and Planning Policies for Proximity-oriented Developments

Each proposal must involve, at least, three partners from three countries of this list and eligible for funding by their respective national/regional Funding Agency. The added value of transnational collaboration should be clearly stated. The Call is open to a wide range of scientific disciplines and welcomes interdisciplinary approaches. It intends to support a large range of activities, from research to innovation and implementation. It also asks to engage explicitly stakeholders (companies, public authorities, NGOs…) in the projects and to consider users’ needs in the identification of the project goals.

The rules of this call for Czech applicants are based on the “SIGMA” programme. The total amount of TA CR support per call for Czech applicants in international projects is 760 000 EUR of which a maximum of 200 000 EUR per project. The maximum intensity of support for the Czech side of the project is 80% of the total eligible costs of the project.
