QuantERA II Call 2023 is open

The Call for Proposals in Quantum Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies: QuantERA II Call 2023 is open.

The submitted proposals are expected to be aligned with one of the two QuantERA Call 2023 topics:

  • Quantum Phenomena and Resources (QPR) – basic research
  • Applied Quantum Science (AQS) – applied research

Funded projects in both topics are expected to address one or more of the following areas:

  • Quantum communication
  • Quantum simulation
  • Quantum computation
  • Quantum information sciences
  • Quantum metrology sensing and imaging

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) will financially support only successful Czech applicants involved in the applied research projects. TA CR Czech applicants involved in the basic research projects will be supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS).

TA CR will support successful Czech applicants and their projects with the amount of 750 000 EUR. Both enterprises and research organizations can apply for TACR funding. Funding rules for the Czech applicants are defined by a funding programme EPSILONDeadline for submission of proposals is May 11, 2023, 17:00 CET.

The project consortia must involve a minimum of 3 eligible partners requesting funding in at least 3 of the following participating countries:

Belgium (FNRS, FWO), Bulgaria (BNSF), Czech Republic (MŠMT, TA ČR), Denmark (IFD), Estonia (ETAg), Finland (AKA), France (ANR), Croatia (HRZZ),  Italy (NQSTI), Israel (Innovation Auth), Canada – Québec (PRIMA, PROMPT), Latvia (LZP), Lithuania (LMT), Luxembourg (FNR), Hungary (NKFIH), Malta (MEYER), Germany (DFG, BMBF), Netherlands (Quantum Delta NL), Poland (NCBR, NCN), Austria (FFG), Romania (UEFISCDI), Slovakia (SAS), SLovenia (MIZS), Spain (AEI), Sweden (VR), Switzerland (SNFS), UK (UKRI EPSRC, UKRI Innovate UK).
